how we serve

“ When I think about what St. Matthias’ means to me, the word “caring” comes to mind. We’re shown care with fantastic sermons, Bible studies, music, and more. Here I am filled with and renewed by God’s care and love. As we worship together, the care and love God gives enables me to find peace, joy, and thankfulness.”
   – Nancy Coleman

We are a congregation that lives by the words, "love your neighbor as yourself". Our small congregation is full of hard-working, kind and dedicated people that actively support each other and those in need in the community. We consider ourselves "the little church that does!" and the Lakeland community agrees. St. Matthias' is well known as a church that serves others. Working side by side on projects teaches us about those in need in our community.
